Music & Picnics

The High Point Area Arts Council hosts 8 FREE outdoor concerts each summer and there are 6 more to go.  This years line up includes:

All Concerts are from 6:00 - 7:30PM

• July 10 - Carolina Gator Gumbo (Cajun & Creole) - Oak Hollow Festival Park (1841 Eastchester Dr., High Point)

• July 17 - Tuck Vern Norm (Classic Rock) - High Point University, Robert Hall (833 Montlieu Ave., High Point)
• July 24 - John Coltrane Jazz Workshop Faculty (Jazz) - GTCC Amphitheatre (901 S. Main St., High Point)
• July 31 - EnVision (R&B, Motown) - Washington Terrace Park (101 Gordon St., High Point)
• August 7 - Zephyr Lightning Bolt (Bluegrass) - High Point Museum & Historical Park (1859 E. Lexington Ave., High Point)
• August 14 - UBU the Band ('70s/'80s) - High Point City Lake Park (602 W. Main St., High Point)

Concert goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and a picnic dinner.  No alcoholic beverages are permitted at any of the concert locations. If there is a threat of rain, call 336.889.2787 after 4pm Sunday to get the latest update on the event.
