Since the weatherman is calling for scattered showers, the High Point Area Arts Council has a contingency plan so that the "show can go on" if it rains.
If need be, the following entertainment scheduled to be performed on the Field Stage will be moved inside the Gym at City Lake Park:
11:00 a.m. Triad Highlanders (bagpipes)
11:30 a.m. Freeport (Jazz)
1:00 p.m. Tropical Flavor Band (steel drums)
2:30 p.m. Daniel Greeson & Ben Watlington
(bluegrass)
3:30 p.m. EnVisioin (R&B and Motown)
Visual artists and crafters will be placed under shelters at City Lake Park if it rains.
All-day ride tickets, which include the train, carousel, and miniature golf will still be available for $6 if it does not rain.
As always, there will be some of your favorite festival foods that you love to smell and eat.
Rain or shine, see you tomorrow, Sepember 17, at High Point City Lake Park. The Day in the Park festival is presented by the High Point Area Arts Council in partnership with the High Point Parks & Recreation Department. The festival will be held from 11:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. and the park is located at 602 W. Main Street in Jamestown. Admission is free!
